I can't wait to pour you a cup of coffee and visit with you. We think that we have something very special here
at Settlers Village in Bolivar, MO. So if you have a minute, we would like to tell you about it.
I have no illusions that creating such a community will be easy. It never is.
Where there are people, there are competing interests and ideas. We believe, however, that Settlers Village is
uniquely designed to harnass that creativity.
We have spent three years developing the concepts and have gathered input from experts across the
land. Never heard about universal design? You will. Concerned about our environment? Try to act
interested when we talk about bio-retention. Don't laugh when we talk about a barn as a community center featuring homespun entertainment
(Some of you do still have your penny loafers?) And smaller energy efficient houses (big windows, high ceilings,
and oodles of storage) that represent the standard for the future are already blueprinted. Here's something that will
blow your mind, people friendly front yards, some with front courtyards. When you see the beautiful landscape buffers
that line the collector roads, you won't believe your eyes.
No other development has gone to such detail. Who else has a weekly newsletter (designed
to bring the community together) long before the first dirt is turned? Have you heard the chatter about our resident
